Under 6 & 8 flag Rugby

We all have to start somewhere, and for the young rugby player this is it! Players learn the basics of rugby using the 'ripping' of flags from a belt as an indication of a tackle. The flagged player must pass BACKWARD to a team mate. Skill and speed are developed through rugby specific drills.  This is all about having fun and learning the game! Under 8 teams will be involved in 3 to 4 rugby tournaments/festivals in the season.

Starts: May 12th, 2026

U6 - Tuesdays 5:45 - 6:30pm

U8 -Tuesdays 6 - 7pm

Notre Dame School

Under 10 Flag Rugby

It is definitely not too late to start your Rugby journey here. The majority of our players were still new to the game last year. Emphasis is placed on running with the ball, passing, attack, defense and scoring. Drills are used to develop speed and skill with a little more competitive edge to the outcomes. More game play is introduced in practice.

Starts: May 12th, 2025

Coaches: TBD

Practice: Tuesdays 6 - 7pm Notre Dame School

Rugby Gear:

U6 - U10 players do not need any special gear.  They will be provided with a rugby top and we have belts and flags for use at practices and festivals.  They should dress comfortably for the weather and wear running shoes or molded cleats (like soccer).

U12 - 18 players require a mouth guard as they are playing contact rugby.  It is recommended that they wear molded cleats.  A training top, rugby shorts and socks are included with regsitration and we have game jerseys for game day.
