ORSC Teams and Programs
Owen Sound Rugby Club has programming for youth starting at 4 years of age. All under 10 age groups are Flag rugby with no contact. At the under 12 level introduction to contact begins.
Under 12:
This age group will be divided by gender (if numbers permit) and plays a 7s format.
In this age group players move into the introduction to contact phase of development. They learn to safely tackle, engage in rucks, 3 man uncontested scrums and line-outs.
They will also continue to learn ball handling, passing, and defense but will also learn more 'senior' rugby specific areas such as game strategy and set-plays.
